The most common installation and repairs

We always do the professional and high quality work

  1. Convert a Carport to A Garage - The difference between carports and garages is that a fully enclosed garage provides both better protection and a much greater level of security. Therefore, if you have a carport but feel that a garage would serve you better, you might want to do a conversion and wonder how much this would cost?
  2. Garage doors makeover - Now, assuming you already have a garage that has only a manual door which is inconvenient, while you know that an automatic garage door is an easy, safe, and more secure way to park and store your car, then you might want to do a makeover.
  3. Automatic garage door repairs - Even you already have a garage with an electric door and enjoy it for a long time, you probably still need to face the issues like 1. Damaged or broken panels because of the carelessness of drivers or some other reasons. 2. Broken springs, cables, hinges because of general aging and deterioration of the door or lack of maintenance (like wooden doors) Readmore...

General Maintenance Requirements of your Garage Doors

In your daily life, like your cars or home air conditioning that need a regular essential maintenance and servicing, your garage doors or electric gates also require preventative maintenance to ensure the door functions properly. We are here recommend you to have a professional inspection every 2 years, ask our thoughtful service Maintenance Servicing  , or you can take some actions on your own.

Listen to the sound of the door when it is moving

Listen to the sound of the door when it is moving

★★★★★

In terms of DIY maintenance, you can actually check the garage door yourself by listening and watching to the door when it is moving, in general, a functioning garage door moves smoothly and without causing much noise. While when your garage door makes crushing or grinding, there could be some issues. You can check the bolts and roller brackets to ensure the bolts or roller brackets are not slack. If they are, you can tighten the loose hardwares.

Lubricate each moving part

Lubricate each moving part

★★★★★

The key point is: make sure to use the correct Lubricate, don't use a can of WD-40 oil to go around the world, chains need chain lubrication, bearings need grease oil, movable joints need graphite lubrication, and rubber wheels cannot be oiled. For normal maintenance, two kinds of oils are generally sufficient, and they can be purchased at Bunnings. The pictures provided are the most commonly used motor oils. It is recommended to use Selleys 150g RP7 lubricant at the power outlet of the motor. A can of about $5 can be used for two years. Track spring lubrication can replace the three-in-one 300g professional garage door lubricant, $10 a bottle, because it has a pressure jet, in addition to lubrication, it can also clean up dead corners. It can be used for two years.

Fasten the slack parts

Fasten the slack parts

★★★★★

In general, a home garage door goes up and down around 1,000 times each year, the repeated motion and vibration may lead to the slack and loose of any hardwares. You can tighten loose parts to avoid further dangerous situtation. Remember to replace the rust screws where possible, or at least you can wire-brush and spray the rusted areas with a rust preventative.

Check the springs and cables

Check the springs and cables

★★★★☆

Search for any form of rust or fraying cables and springs, in some cases, the cables and springs are the parts that lifts the door using a pulley mechanism. Again, if rust is present, wire-brush and spray the rusted areas with a rust preventative. Our recommended oil-based lubricants are: RP7 which is shown above, WD-40.

Remotes of the doors

Remotes of the doors

★★★★☆

Many homeowners regularly lost their remotes. Usually, the garage door can be opened and closed manually, but re-programme the remote is also a headache. You can buy a remote from Bunnings, or you can also buy it on professional websites such as eBay, GarageSystems, or Remote Pro.

Regularly cleaning

Regularly cleaning

★★★★☆

We at Hyatt would recommend a cleaner for the tracks, use a brush to get rid of the dust, but never try to lubricate the tracks as this might lead to heavier dust. In addition, garage door panels also need a periodical wash to keep it shin, especially for those use wooden door panels.

Garage door remote programming

The remote control on your garage door needs to be programmed properly to allow it to communicate with the main base unit.

1. Locate the learn button on the motor: This will generally be found under the light cover of the motor. Simply remove the light cover and you will either see the red learn button or a green rectangular push button. If you see the green button simply remove this and the learn button(usually in pink color) will be underneath.

2. Once you have located the learn button, push and hold this button for approximately 2 seconds and then release the button as soon as the motor either flashes or clicks.

3. On the new remote that you wish to code, press and hold the button you wish to operate your door for about 2 seconds. Release this button. Push the same button on the new remote for 2 seconds. If the motor has stopped clicking and flashing, the remote has been coded. Please test the remote.

4. If the remote does not operate the door, please repeat the above steps. If the remotes still will not operate the garage door, your motor memory might be full. Please erase your motor's memory by holding down the learn button for 15 secs until the motor has stopped flashing. And then code in all remotes again.
